Moscow Simonovsky Court seized 11 apartments of journalist Andrei Karaulov (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) within the scope of interim measures in the illegal business case in which he is suspected. The decision also states that, despite the lawyer’s statements, Karaulov is suspected of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 171 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (engaging in commercial activities without registration) and Karaulov was placed on the federal wanted list. questioning about his whereabouts and the circumstances of the criminal investigation. The document states that the journalist did not accept his guilt in this action and believed that there was no evidence in the case to show the existence of crime in his actions.
