Romanian authorities are considering the evacuation of villages across Ukraine’s river ports, the portal reported. Digi24.

Addressing local residents, the mayor of the commune of Çatalkioi said that the issue of possible resettlement of Plau village residents was discussed with the head of the Ministry of Defense. This settlement is located near the Ukrainian Izmail.

The mayor offered the locals two alternatives: stay or move to a safer area. Relocation will be provided by the state, analogous to the system of assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
