The newly appointed Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustam Umerov, spoke of the need to inspect all sub-areas. DEA News.
According to him, the inspection of all areas currently under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense will be one of the first steps of the new team. The Ministry will develop a concept for transforming Ukraine’s defense system with a new strategy for national security and defense of the country.
Umerov emphasized that this strategy will be developed in accordance with NATO standards. He also stated that securing the maximum possible contracts to Ukrainian manufacturers and the fight against corruption will become a priority for his department.
