On September 9 and 10, Moscow will celebrate the 876th anniversary of the capital in all venues of the city.
Tsvetnoy Boulevard, Muzeon and Poklonnaya Gora, as well as the Luzhniki Stadium will be the central arenas of the City Day celebrations.
A wide-ranging program of festivities awaits Muscovites and guests of the capital: thematic events, exhibitions, concerts and other events that will take place in parks, museums, libraries, cultural centers and other cultural institutions.
On September 9, Tsvetnoy Boulevard will traditionally open the holiday with the Kind Moscow festival, where a charity fair will open. Concerts will be held on Poklonnaya Hill on the same day. The Hermitage Garden will host the Theater Walk, a large-scale open-air theater festival that traditionally opens the season in Moscow theaters. The capital’s libraries, museums, galleries and exhibition centers will also prepare thematic exhibitions devoted to the history of Moscow, the stories of prominent citizens and interesting architectural monuments.
