An elderly music teacher from the Canadian province of Nova Scotia has been detained on charges of raping a former student. In this respect informs News from CTV.
Lorna Elaine Letcher, a 65-year-old woman accused of rape by a former student, reported to police about 20 years ago that she was harassed by a music teacher in the school orchestra.
According to the victim’s statement, the teacher gave music lessons at home, harassed her in lessons and had sexual intercourse with her student. Investigators suggest that other children may have been harmed by Letcher’s actions.
The pensioner was arrested, but later released and placed under house arrest, the case’s court hearing will begin at the end of October.
