College graduates start to complain less about the difficulties of finding a job

College graduates rated the difficulty of finding a job 2021-2023 with an average score of 6.7 out of 10. The results were presented by SuperJob. socialbites.ca got acquainted with the work.

In 2023, university graduates rated the difficulty of finding a job as an average of 6.9 points, 2022 graduates 6.7 points, and 2021 graduates 6.5 points. In April of this year, SuperJob conducted a similar survey among job seekers of all ages, with an average job search difficulty score of 7 out of 10.

The main problem that university graduates face when looking for a job for the first time is the lack of experience (69%). 10% of respondents stated that options are limited due to low salary offers. 8% of university graduates state that there are few available vacancies. 1% of respondents complain about gender stereotypes of recruiters, a lack of practical skills for the job, and unscrupulous employers. Respondents cited the lack of internship and training programs for some employers, inappropriate work schedules, distance from home, and inability to combine work and further education, among other challenges.

Compared to 2021, when SuperJob conducted similar research, young professionals are less likely to complain that a lack of experience is preventing them from getting a job: 75% two years ago and 69% now.
