An impressive ovarian metastasis was removed from a 59-year-old woman from Omsk at the West Siberian Medical Center. The patient was diagnosed with cancer 20 years ago. All this time the woman was under the supervision of oncologists, she took several courses of chemotherapy, in 2017 the size of the neoplasm began to increase rapidly.

“We are faced with a very difficult situation. Recurrent tumor, multiple localization. The patient was diagnosed with three metastatic tumors: two foci in the pelvis and a large-sized visual localization 15 cm long and 20 cm high. Such cases are extremely rare, ”said ZSMC FMBA of Russia Deputy Director of Surgery Dmitry Shkurin.

Metastases weighing two kilograms were successfully removed, the woman will remain under the supervision of doctors, as well as be examined by oncologists.
