Turkish Airlines plane flying to Moscow made a “strange” maneuver in Polish airspace over the country’s capital, Warsaw. It was reported by the Polish radio station ZETReferring to the Flightradar24 tracking resource.
The radio station believes that Turkish Airlines’ Bodrum-Moscow flight took an unusual route. The plane with the Russian tourists first turned between Lublin and Zamosc, then headed for Rzeszow and Krakow, and finally flew towards Moscow via Warsaw.
The reason for such a route, as ZET itself explains, was a strong storm front that forced the aircraft to take a “very strange route”. The radio station did not specify what his “weirdness” was. It was also noted on the internet that the Turkish airline was not the only company that had to weather this storm front.
ZET emphasized that Russian passenger planes still fly over Poland, as planes from Turkey are not prohibited from flying over the territory of the European Union.
