More than 200 settlements in the Minsk region were left without power due to severe storms, according to the press service of TASS’s Republican Unitary Enterprise Minskenergo.
“Due to the intense storm, blackouts and power outages are experienced throughout the Minsk region. Currently the most affected areas are Borisov, Slutsk and Molodechno. As of 21.30, the cut-off of 37 10kV high-voltage lines and 1 35kV high-voltage line caused power outages in more than 200 settlements.
Belenergo State Production Association noted that a high level of lightning activity was observed throughout the republic, and emergency teams participated in the work of restoring the power supply, which was interrupted due to weather conditions.
