According to a press release from the Loch Ness Center, organizers of the largest search for the Loch Ness monster in 50 years last weekend attributed the failure to the elusive nature of Nessie. RIA News.

Previously, it was reported that the search was unsuccessful despite the use of advanced equipment.

“We know the beast is difficult to catch, so it’s not surprising that we didn’t get any concrete evidence,” said Alan McCann, spokesman for the Loch Ness Discovery research team, which organized the search with the Loch Ness Center.

About 200 volunteers from all over the world participated in the search for Nessie. Some served on boats, others on shore. Hundreds of enthusiasts also joined the online search.

Despite the unsuccessful search, the volunteers recorded “four mysterious” voices whose source was never identified. Additionally, a “potential monster video” was filmed of Loch Ness’s “splashes” above its surface followed by disappearing underwater. The press release also states that one of the online search participants caught a large shadow moving just under the water.

The first written mention of the Loch Ness monster is found in the manuscript of a 6th-century Scottish monk. Nessie, a mythical creature with a huge body and a long neck, has become one of the most discussed phenomena in the world in modern times. Despite the testimonies of numerous eyewitnesses who claimed to have seen the beast, its existence was never documented. Researchers examining DNA samples taken from the lake in 2019 speculated that the Loch Ness monster could be giant eels.
