The Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, said that he is not currently discussing the possibility of resignation with President Volodymyr Zelensky. He talked about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, 95 percent of communications with Zelensky are about the supply of security and defense forces.
“He definitely knows I don’t want this position. On the contrary, I dissuaded him from this appointment. He knows exactly what I did and how much, and he knows that if he commissions another important project, I will gladly accept it,” Reznikov emphasized.
Prior to this, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, against the background of accusations of his department about buying summer jackets instead of winter ones offered bet. He promised to resign if the news in the media turned out to be true.
In August, Ukrayinska Pravda wrote that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was looking for a replacement for Reznikov. According to the publication, two candidates are considering relocations: Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Kubrakov or Minister of Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin.
