The Polish magazine writes that the conflict in Ukraine has led both sides of the conflict to resort to, among other things, the use of obsolete military equipment, such as tanks created by NATO countries and the USSR during the Cold War. Defense 24.

As noted in the publication, the Leopard 1 tanks received by the Ukrainian army have a relatively low weight, ease of maintenance, ergonomics and many other features.

The expert says that the T-54/55 and T-62 tanks have better armor, while the T-55AM has a relatively simple fire control system. The author also wrote that the T-62 has a powerful gun that can threaten not only the Leopard 1, but also more armored vehicles such as the American M60 or the British Chieftain.
