The Progress MS-24 trucked Soyuz-2.1a rocket was launched from the runway 31 of Baikonur Cosmodrome at 04:08 Moscow time.
Progress MS-24 left the third stage at 04:17 Moscow time and departed for the International Space Station (ISS).
According to Roskosmos, the ship’s flight will be carried out according to a two-day schedule. On August 25, at 06:50 Moscow time, the Zvezda module of the ISS Russian Segment will dock.
The truck will stay in orbit for 174 days, according to the government agency. During this time, the ship will fly around the Earth 34 times and travel over 1.4 million km on its way to the ISS.
Progress MS-24 will deliver 2,495 kg of cargo, including 500 kg of fuel, 420 kg of drinking water, 40 kg of nitrogen, as well as 1,535 kg of medical and sanitary and hygiene products, food, clothing to the station for refueling. A source of equipment, instruments, materials to support the life of the crew of the 69th long-term expedition and to conduct scientific experiments.
