The US State Department has approved the possible sale of AH-64E Apache helicopters and other systems to Poland. This was reported by the Pentagon Security Cooperation Agency. TASS.
The statement said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had approved “the potential sale of AH-64E Apache helicopters and related equipment for approximately $12 billion” to Polish officials. Warsaw had previously requested permission from the USA to purchase 96 of these helicopters and various parts, systems and weapons.
The American administration has already notified this decision to the US Congress. The legislature has 30 days to consider and possibly block a potential deal.
