Hungary will start producing German infantry fighting vehicles

German defense concern Rheinmetall has built a new factory for the production of infantry fighting vehicles (IFV) Lynx and other tracked and wheeled vehicles in the city of Zalaegerszeg in southwestern Hungary. It has been reported TASS.

The head of the company, Armin Papperger, stressed that the opening of a new factory for the concern is an important step and a sign of close ties with Hungarian customers and the armed forces.

The agreement with the Hungarian side provides for the production of 209 BMP Lynx for the country’s armed forces at the factory. Rheinmetall will also undertake the training of armored vehicle drivers and the supply of spare parts.

Concern clarified that Luna NG has several thousand flight hours and has proven itself with foreign customers.

The unmanned aerial system includes a ground control station with several UAVs. And also – a launch catapult, an additional safety net for landing and equipment for quick repairs.
