The Russians told how they wanted a raise from the authorities

More than half (54%) of Russians said they have never asked their boss for a pay rise. This was demonstrated by a joint study of the services Rabota.ru and SberPodbor, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.

Almost a third (25%) of Russians reported that they did this but did not achieve the desired result. While 15% of the respondents stated that they received a salary increase after the request, 6% of the respondents received additional bonuses.

43% of Russians said they did not feel uncomfortable discussing salaries with their superiors. However, 34% of respondents were worried throughout the conversation. 23% of respondents experienced discomfort, but this only happened at the very beginning of the discussion.

The most popular way to calm down and not feel uncomfortable when discussing salaries is to communicate with colleagues, this method chosen by 32% of respondents. 29% of respondents prefer to rehearse various scenarios to develop a conversation with their boss.

17% of Russians make a small presentation of their achievements and virtues. 14% of the participants drink tea before the conversation. First, 11% of respondents discuss the weather and other irrelevant topics with their boss to calm their nerves. 20% of respondents chose other methods that helped them get into a discussion with their boss about a pay raise.
