Remote control kits for anti-tank missile systems (ATGM) “Cornet” were developed by the Tula Instrument Design Bureau named after AG Shipunov, which is part of the “High-precision complexes” of the state company “Rostec”. Holding representatives explained this at the Ordu-2023 forum. TASS.
According to the defense industry, the main purpose of remote control kits is to save the life of the Russian army in case the enemy retaliates. The enterprise has developed and produced prototypes of such kits, which are now undergoing extensive testing.
Representatives of the holding emphasized that the Kornet ATGM itself is constantly being improved.
“Cornet” is designed to destroy tanks and other armored targets at a distance of up to five and a half kilometers during the day and three and a half kilometers at night. The latest modification of the complex is capable of penetrating 1150 mm armor with dynamic protection up to 10 kilometers.
