State Duma deputy Ivan Sukharev turned to First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov with a proposal to grant citizenship to male foreigners only after military service. In this respect informs RT

The parliamentarian noted that according to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, it is the duty of every male citizen to perform military service. But according to him, not all men who have acquired Russian citizenship are willing to pay for military service.

“I urge you to consider changes in federal legislation and other regulatory legal acts to require foreign male citizens aged 18 to 30 years of age without medical restrictions to serve in the Armed Forces for one year.
