The Valencia Institute for Business Competitiveness (Ivace), affiliated with the Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Tourism and Trade, donated a total of 18.8 million euros to the technology institutes of the Valencian Community for the development of 90 I projects +D in cooperation. with about 300 Valencian companies.
Developed between January 2023 and June 2024, these projects are co-financed by the Feder-CV 2021-2027 Program and supported by Ivace. tries to produce high value-added knowledge and technology. Easily transferable to companies in the Valencian Community.
The participation of companies in these projects is essential to ensure that the research conducted by the Valencia Community’s 11 technology centers responds to the current and future needs of companies to increase their competitiveness.
The 90 projects supported by Ivace are aligned with the updated Smart Expertise Strategy for the Valencian Community. (S3-CV) aims to move towards specialization focusing on priority areas with transformation potential, while also connecting with the capacities and actors of the region.
Thus, 40% of the projects financed eco innovation, circular economy and low carbon. These are followed by projects related to digital technologies, disruptive technologies and data systems with potential in the Valencian Community.
The aid allocated by the Valencian Business Competition Authority to the technology centers of the Valencian Community comes from two lines of funding. One was co-financed with European funds and its purpose was to support the most mature research in collaboration with companies whose purpose was: to achieve results that can be transferred to industrial sectors in the short term.
And a second line of private funds from the Generalitat Valenciana, where medium and long-term research is funded.
