The evacuation of the monument took place around 13:30 local time. and the area is temporarily closed to visitors.
This is a “precaution” Police sources told local newspaper Le Parisien that the source of the bomb alarm is currently unknown.
The evacuation affected both the three floors of the tower and the restaurant and square around the 330-metre-high structure in Paris’s VII district.
With nearly six million visitors in 2022, The “Eiffel Tower” is one of the most visited monuments in the world.
