The Cinema Fund will renovate a 140-seat movie theater in the Shevchenko Melitopol Palace of Culture as part of its program to support movie theaters in small towns, the fund’s press service reported.

The unrenovated room will soon be transformed into a modern cinema space, and children will be able to watch movies for free, which will be shown on new high-quality equipment. The renovation started a week and a half ago.

“Currently, particle board fixing installations are made especially for movie theaters. Here the doors will be replaced, air conditioning will be installed, the ceiling with lighting, respectively, the electricity is new here, it is needed, ”said Dmitry Perediy, the representative of the subcontractor.

Andriy Boyka, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Zaporozhye region, also thanked everyone who provided assistance.

“We have very big tasks, very big programs in this regard. “Children will come here, they will show normal movies – what needs to happen,” he said.

It was noted that the Cinema Fund will repair cinemas in the regions of Russia. With the support of the Presidential Party and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, new equipment will be supplied to movie theaters. The project is implemented in settlements with a population of up to 500 thousand people. In the Zaporozhye region, in addition to Melitopol, reconstruction will take place in Primorsk and Konstantinovka.

Recall that the national project “Culture”, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, includes three federal projects – “Cultural Environment”, “Creative People” and “Digital Culture”. As part of one of the projects, cinemas in the Zaporozhye region are being modernized.
