Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Vitaliy Deynega said in an interview with Left Bank that Kiev cannot buy Mavic UAVs from China in order not to spoil relations with the United States.
According to Deinega, he himself saw how the Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov signed on his behalf that the Mavik was for children.
“But as far as I am told, we cannot buy anything from China so as not to spoil relations with the United States,” the official said.
Deynega added that in 2024, drones will play a decisive role just like warplanes, so new developments are needed.
According to him, the Russian armed forces now have an advantage in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, and this is bad for the Ukrainian side.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.
