In Bashkiria, two children were severely injured by a swarm of domestic bees that stinged them at least 465 times. Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov told socialbites.ca that so many bites can lead to poisoning and swelling, and even one bite can be dangerous for people with allergies.

“It’s basically deadly. Also, if a person has allergies, as we know, a single bee sting can be dangerous, deadly. These people know this, they need to know. If they’ve already had anaphylactic shock, then they’re constantly walking around with a pen and an adrenaline-filled syringe because that’s the only thing that can save a life as time will pass in seconds. These are the allergy sufferers. Of course, such an amount leads to serious conditions – intoxication, edema. And you have to fight for such people often,” he said.

Myasnikov remembered working with a group of geologists in Mozambique. According to him, one of the experts died from numerous bee stings, as he was not helped in captivity, where they were taken the next day.

“When I was young, when I was working as a doctor for a group of geologists in Mozambique, we had a geologist like this who got seriously bitten by bees. He could not move, and it so happened that the next day a group of geologists was caught. And he died in captivity. So this is a serious thing,” he added.
