Young Russians want to continue working and live on their own money when they retire, so as not to be dependent on anyone, including the state. Such results of the study were quoted by SberNPF and Rabota.ru, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
As the study shows, almost a third (29%) of young Russians plan to continue working in retirement to maintain their usual lifestyle. 20% of the respondents want to live for their own pleasure and 15% want to work part time and pass on their experiences to young people.
13% of young respondents plan to retire by hobby, sport or creativity, 11% dream of traveling and 7% will take care of their grandchildren.
At the same time, the majority of young people were in solidarity with regard to pension financing: 59% of respondents said they would like to live on their own money without being dependent on anyone. 20% of respondents rely on state pensions, and 19% on passive income from investments or renting real estate. Only 2% of respondents expressed a desire to live with their children and receive financial support from them.
