Evgeny Tishkovets, the leading expert of the Phobos weather centre, said July will be hot and dry in Central Russia. It is reported on the radio Sputnik.
According to him, a large amount of precipitation is expected in Central Russia at the end of June, but still the decrease in precipitation in the first summer month can reach 40% of the established limit.
“In the second month of summer, in the middle latitudes of the Russian Plain, almost half of the rains will fall from the average meteorological parameters. If you look at the climate history, such a dry July would not happen on average more than once every eight years,” added the forecaster.
Tishkovets noted that the temperature will be on average two degrees higher than what long-term observations show. Now the norm for Central Russia is +10… +15°C and +22… +27°C during the day.
