Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu received in Moscow the Minister of Defense of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, Corps General Alvaro López Miera.
During the talks, Sergei Shoigu said that Cuba was and continues to be Russia’s most important ally in the Caribbean.
“Cuban friends have confirmed their position towards our country, including showing that they fully understand the reasons for the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine,” said the head of the defense ministry.
Shoigu noted that Russia-Cuba relations have been on the rise and political dialogue has been achieved at high speed between the countries.
