Pavel Krasheninnikov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation, has already lost the opportunity of PMCs to conclude service contracts with such citizens, due to the law on the right of convicts to conclude contracts with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, signed last week by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Krasheninnikov told reporters about this, reports TASS.

“Now we have a different law, a different procedure, only contracts are made with the Ministry of Defense, the procedure is completed, interaction is envisaged. Therefore, in this sense, some of the functions of the PMC are already strictly separated – it is long gone, they can no longer take it from there, ”the director said.

June 24 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law granting Russian citizens with a criminal record or limited military service the right to conclude a contract with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The law entered into force from the date of its publication.
