An unguided rocket was fired at infrastructure facilities northeast of the Russian Khmeimim airbase in Syria. Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, Deputy Head of Russia’s Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, made this statement. TASS.

According to Gurinov’s information, on June 24, militants tried to bomb the infrastructure facilities located in the village of Kardakh, 10 km from the Khmeimim airbase. A projectile was fired from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). Losses and destruction averted.

Gurinov noted that Russia’s Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties urged the commanders of illegal armed groups not to provocate in the areas under their control and to initiate a peaceful solution.

Rear Admiral stressed that the US-led international counter-terrorism coalition continues to systematically, purposefully and publicly violate the non-conflict protocols and the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on Air Safety in Syria. Thus, nine violations per day related to drone flights were detected, including the Idlib de-escalation zone.
