Acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, said that after the collapse of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, 1,500 people were evacuated from the flooded settlements of the region. Wrote about him about it telegraph channel.

“Right now, 1.5 thousand people were evacuated from the flooded settlements, 48 ​​temporary shelters were opened for 2.7 thousand places. Specialists and special equipment of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia came to the aid of the Kherson region.

Saldo stressed that the situation in the flood zone is under the control of the authorities and there is no data on civilian casualties.

According to him, in the upper parts of the flood zone near Novaya Kakhovka, the water began to descend, in the lower parts – near Aleshki and Gola Pristan – a maximum flood is expected, after which the water will decrease.

In the Novokakhovsk urban district, in the Golopristansky and Aleshkinsky municipal districts – 24 – 11 settlements were flooded.
