First, one of the residents of Syktyvkar turned to law enforcement and stated that his friend suggested with his help to buy electrical goods of famous brands at a discount of 50%. To this end, he gave 818 thousand rubles to a young man born in 2002, who studied at one of the local universities. Following this story, the police heard 11 more similar stories and detained a teenager, all of whom the applicants accused of stealing money.

In any case, the victims transferred various sums to him to buy mobile phones, televisions and other household appliances at a low price. The detainee also promised to fulfill the obligations, knowing that he would not be able to fulfill them. But he repeatedly found those who wanted to save money and easily convinced them of the profitability of the deal.

As stated in the description of the department, the student stole a total of more than 4 million rubles in this way. He is currently in custody and 12 criminal cases have been opened against him under Article 159 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
