On April 26, the head of the State Duma commission, Vasily Piskarev, is investigating the facts of foreign intervention in Russia’s internal affairs. knowledgeablethat a group of deputies of the commission presented to the lower house of parliament a bill on the introduction of criminal liability for participation in the work of foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) not registered in Russia.
The deputy noted that it is proposed to introduce criminal liability for organizing the activities of NGOs in the Russian Federation. Prison sentences of up to three years were also proposed for those previously sentenced to administrative penalties for participating in the work of NGOs.
