Ukraine officially requested from Germany long-range Taurus cruise missiles that could reach Moscow. newspaper reports Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung with reference to sources.
“President Volodymyr Zelensky already told Chancellor Olaf Scholz about this (about the transfer of missiles. – socialbites.ca) during his visit to Berlin in early May. The Chancellor’s spokesperson does not want to comment on this, but the Federal Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Ukraine has claimed Taurus.
The publication points out that the German authorities are faced with an important dilemma regarding the characteristics and range of Taurus.
The authors of the material added that a German missile could fly across the Ukrainian border to Moscow, so some fear that “in case of urgent need, Kiev could escalate the war uncontrollably.”
Roderich Kizewetter, formerly a member of the Bundestag, should put Ukraine all weapons available to the Ukrainian army, including the German-Swedish Taurus cruise missiles, whose range reaches 500 km. The bull is considered an analogue of the English Storm Shadow, which has already been delivered to Ukraine.
