The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed. The crew of the ship was not injured.
It was noted that Ivan Khurs carried out duties to ensure the security of the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream natural gas pipelines in Turkish territorial waters. This mission was set after the sabotage of Nord Stream in September 2022 and the attempted terrorist attack on South Stream, which was stopped by the FSB.
