Lawyer Elena Kuderko said in an interview with the agency: “Hitting the Primer”that not all homeowners are responsible for paying for capital repairs. First of all, we’re talking about people living in emergency homes that are about to be demolished.
He stated that in this case it is not recommended to pay for repairs and there is no need to collect money from the owners for this service.
In addition, the lawyer recalled the benefits for the elderly and low-income citizens. If the owner of the apartment is 80 and over, contributions to capital repairs are covered by the state from the budget.
At the same time, it is emphasized that such an owner should live alone or with relatives who are disabled or retired. Kuderko said that Russians aged 70 to 79 will be compensated 50% for their care contribution.
He also spoke about another category of beneficiaries. These are veterans of labor, cripples of the Great Patriotic War, participants in the Great Patriotic War, families with many children. In this case, the benefit will be 30%.
