Russians are most afraid of losing documents and money on vacation

One out of every five Russians going on vacation is most afraid of losing documents or money, showed a survey conducted by AlfaStrakhovanie and the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.

Another 21% of study participants cited missing a plane, bus or train as their worst holiday nightmare. Almost 19% are afraid of forgetting some of their luggage at home and 16% are afraid of losing it completely.

For 8% of respondents, the fear of vacation is the possibility of getting sick and staying in the room for the entire trip. And 9.4% fear that the child will get sick.

Almost 40% of people on vacation in Russia went to the doctor on vacation. For trips abroad, this rate is slightly lower – 33%. At the same time, food poisoning is the main reason for seeking medical attention when traveling within the country, according to research. Added to this were the problems of printing abroad.

Almost 40% of Russian travelers had to cancel their trips. As the study shows, there are fairly standard examples of cancellation reasons: a third have to cancel a tour for work reasons, and a quarter due to illness or injury. 26% cancel their holidays because of their child’s illness. And for every ten Russians, all plans are ruined by flight transfers and other logistical issues.

About 60% of those surveyed have already planned a vacation for next summer. The most popular foreign destination is in Türkiye and Russia – Sochi.
