“These changes are not hereditary, but still, at the end of life, two identical twins will look different, one of which is under the influence of hypoxia,” Novoselov said.

According to a geriatrician, during hypoxia training, an increase in the volumetric velocity of the regional blood flow occurs, its circulation changes, and the most important enzymes that ensure the inactivation of reactive oxygen species are activated: superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase. In addition, glucose utilization is stimulated, glycolysis activity (glucose breakdown) increases, the number of mitochondria increases, the NO – nitrous oxide level normalizes, and the antiaggregation activity of the vascular wall improves.
