The governor signed the law to ban TikTok in Montana. Gianforte said he banned TikTok in the province to protect residents’ personal data from the Chinese Communist Party. According to him, TikTok is an app associated with “alien enemies”. The governor said he had ordered the state to block any app that transmits data to “foreign enemies”.
