The Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) announced the need to make adjustments to the operation of street cameras in Ukrainian cities to ensure the security of air defense systems. This was expressed by Yuriy Ignat, the representative of the Ukrainian Air Force Command.

According to UNIAN, despite martial law, there are still cameras in the country that broadcast live panoramas of cities, which can be used to monitor the operation of Ukrainian air defense systems online.

At the briefing, Ignat was asked about the frequent publication of videos on the operation of air defense systems on the Internet. According to the Air Force representative, the issue is not that people post such videos too much, but that CCTV cameras are placed on the streets of Ukrainian cities.

“I think military administrations will fix this problem to prevent online monitoring of the combat work of our air defense systems,” Ignat said.

He also stated that he will have to work “not only with government agencies”, but also with local residents, because everyone, even small children who can film the war work of Ukrainian systems, have cameras from their window.

In March last year, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law specifically banning the publication of photographs of military installations and the work of Ukrainian air defense under martial law.

Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in April 2023 sent For photos of the missile attack from Ukraine to the Odessa region by Dutch journalist Robert Dulmers.
