Senator Daria Lantratova from the Luhansk People’s Republic announced on her Telegram channel the second missile attack on Lugansk in two days.
“The second attack in Luhansk is less than a day away. Rockets reached the village of Yubileiny in the Artemovsky district of the city this morning. There are casualties, including civilians. In the first, two people were hospitalized. The military reported that the attacks were carried out by Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

The Telegram channel of the Cheka-OGPU writes that the missile hit the former Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where the barracks were recently located.
The representative office of the LPR at JCCC reported on its Telegram channel that the missile attack was carried out using Anglo-French high-precision Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
According to the news, citing CNN’s sources, Kiev received long-range precision-guided cruise missiles from London on 11 May. Later, the information was confirmed by the Kingdom Ministry of Defense. The missile has different modifications and types of bases, on which the launch range depends – from 250 to almost 1500 km.
Previously, the longest-range weapon of the Ukrainian troops was the HIMARS system, which allowed attacks from a distance of about 80 km.
Attack on Luhansk
At 6:35 p.m. on May 12, explosions thundered in Luhansk. LPR Senator Daria Lantratova said that rockets fell on the building of the former machinery manufacturing plant. Rodion Miroshnik, the former ambassador of the LPR in Moscow, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit an enterprise for the production of Poly-Pack polymer products, as a result of which a fire broke out. At the same time, he suggested that the Ukrainian military use Alder or Tochka-U missiles. JCCC claimed that the attack was carried out by Grom missiles. Later, the center reported that Storm Shadow missiles were used.

The JCC also reported that the previous day, State Duma deputy Viktor Volodatsky was injured as a result of the strikes. However, after the arrival of the missiles, a video appeared on the network in which Volodatsky commented on the attack on Lugansk – there were no visible injuries in the video.
The deputy later explained under what circumstances he was injured: After recording the video, he was injured when the building collapsed.

The MP said he was one of the first to be found near the crash site, while rescuers had not yet reached the site of the explosion. According to Volodatsky, he and the head of government of the LNR, Dmitry Kozlov, began to help people get out from under the rubble.
At the time of the attack on Lugansk, the head of United Russia, Andrei Turchak, was also in the city. An RIA Novosti source in parliament assured that the senator was not injured. This information was confirmed by the party’s press service.
Also, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu’s son-in-law and blogger Alexey Stolyarov was in the city at the time of the attack. A number of Telegram channels reported that the rocket did not contact him after its arrival. But later Stolyarov said that everything was fine with him and that he left the city before the rocket arrived.
