A bill requiring the US administration to impose sanctions on individuals who support Iran’s missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) development and production programs has been introduced by a number of US congressmen. Lawmakers plan to impose visa sanctions against anyone involved in the supply, sale or transfer of Iranian missiles and drones. The assets of these individuals in the United States will be frozen. Members of Congress also want to impose sanctions on those who transfer equipment to Iran for the development and manufacture of missiles and drones, participate in related programs with Tehran, and export or import similar weapons to Iran. In addition, restrictions are imposed on the family members of those who fall under the sanctions.
The draft law, which will be discussed in the Foreign Affairs Committee at the first stage, will then be voted on in the House of Representatives.
It was previously reported that the European Union is planning. to enter New sanctions expected to affect more than 35 companies in Iran, China, United Arab Emirates, Armenia and Uzbekistan for their alleged support of the Russian military-industrial complex.
