He worked at the rear for 12-16 hours a day in order to have enough weapons, equipment and ammunition at the front.”
The expert recalled that as a result of the collapse of the USSR, a large number of states appeared on the territory of Eastern Europe, whose leaders chose the path of abandoning their Soviet past, and began to write a new history for their country.
“Today, when May 9 was canceled in Ukraine, St. George ribbons are banned, monuments to the Soviet wars are destroyed, monuments and obelisks are restored in Russia, new monuments are erected to keep the memory of those people alive. “The dreadful days and heroic deeds of soldiers and officers,” added Ananchenkov.
The political scientist emphasized that the preservation of the memory of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Russia has become a national issue.
“In many ways, this is the personal merit of President Vladimir Putin, who welcomed this holiday with concern and great respect. Every year, budget funds are allocated to achieve the goals of preserving historical justice, and the Presidential Grant Fund and the Presidential Cultural Initiatives Fund actively support projects for patriotic education.
According to him, during this time social movements and popular initiatives such as “Victory Volunteers”, “Immortal Regiment”, “Victory Dictate”, “Red Carnation” appeared, which became the new traditions of modern Russia.
“There is no doubt that Victory Day is the main bond of our people, each of which is its own hero, passing like a red thread through families, giving a peaceful sky above their heads and the opportunity to live. Therefore, the preservation of historical truth is not only a duty, but also our duty, ”the expert concluded.
