According to the press service of the association, on May 8-10, the Russian Knowledge Association organizes educational events in honor of the celebration of the 78th anniversary of Victory Day in Russia.

During the 7-hour Victory History marathon, historians, researchers, government officials, artists, war correspondents and other experts told young people about the symbolism of celebrating Victory Day for Russia, and discussed the importance of preserving historical memory, heroism and continuing to live. Examine history and the struggle against its falsification, as well as the special role of creativity, including cinema, in patriotic education.

“Victory Day is an important, highly personal holiday for Russians. It unites the whole country. Every Russian family has its heroes who went through the tragic events of the Great Patriotic War. “Today we must preserve the memory of the great deeds of our ancestors, the price that must be paid for the freedom of future generations,” said Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian Information Society.

Honored Artist of Russia, General Director of the VOENFILM studio, Igor Ugolnikov, explained to the marathon audience the complexity of preparing the script and directing historical films, which must not only reflect the artistic concept, but also be objective and realistic. .

“Reliability and emotionality are the main components of the creation of military historical films. By following these rules, you can hope that the audience will want to watch your new movie. First of all, as long as I have enough mental strength, I will continue to make military films, ”said Ugolnikov.

In addition to the speeches of the invited guests in the History of Victory marathon, 8 historical educational films of the Information Society about the events of World War II were screened.
