Russia’s Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin said that Ukraine still does not fulfill its international obligations under the Geneva Convention. It has been reported DEA News.
According to the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Kiev ignores the prosecution of those who have committed crimes against civilians.
Bastrykin added that “despite Ukraine being a party to the 1949 Geneva Conventions, the issue of bringing to justice those who committed crimes against the civilian population is not raised …”.
He pointed out that the ongoing conflict investigation since 2014 was not conducted by the authorities of Ukraine.
“Therefore, Ukraine is not fulfilling its international obligations,” Bastrykin said.
The head of Sledkom also noted that the Russian Federation, as a country concerned with world stability, has assumed the authority to investigate crimes committed by Kiev.
