Metropolitan Police warns of liability for illegal use of UAVs

The press service of the Moscow Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia warned of criminal and administrative liability for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. It has been reported TASS.

Law enforcement officials emphasized that since May 3, according to the decision of the Moscow Operational Headquarters, the flight of unmanned aerial vehicles has been prohibited in the entire capital, except for UAVs used by decisions of state authorities.

Metropolitan Police emphasized that administrative and criminal liability has been established for violation of the rules regarding the use of airspace. The Ministry of Interior also warned not to violate the law and not to use drones.

Andrey Kartapolov, former chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee of the Russian Federation presented set up a hotline to report drones.

On the night of Wednesday, May 3, two drones attempted to attack Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence in the Kremlin. According to the Kremlin press service, no one was injured. The press secretary of the President of Russia said that the dome of the Senate Palace was partially burned.
