Kiev authorities named the street after Soviet colonel Stepan Shutov, who participated in the Civil War (1917-1922) and the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). This was reported on the city government website.
Now the street is called Grushetskaya, from the name of the historical district of Grushka.
