The majority of Russians (78%) want ChatGPT to have a Russian analogue, and 22% want the capabilities of the American service to be adequate. This is due to the results of a survey of 250,000 people conducted by analysts from the Rambler&Co media conglomerate.
At the same time, it was noted that more than half of the respondents (57%) did not trust the Western chatbot in terms of information security, while the remaining 43% did not worry about their data.
Therefore, 60% of respondents believe it is necessary to legislate AI. At the same time, 24% leave this decision to professionals and 16% do not want to limit their development.
The survey also showed that most Russians want to interact with a chatbot in the entertainment industry (34%), the home sector (31%), finance (22%), and retail (13%).
According to the research, information search (32%) and translation of text from a foreign language into Russian (26%) are among the tasks that participants are ready to entrust to a chatbot. The help of artificial intelligence is also in demand in everyday tasks such as writing text (15%), writing code (10%) and choosing movies and music (8%), recommending recipes (5%), compiling a diet or training. program (4%).
The survey was conducted on Rambler&Co media resources from April 18 to April 21, 2023, the number of respondents was 249,246 users aged 18 to 45 years.
