A Moscow court fined the Wikimedia Foundation, the owner of the Russian-language Wikipedia internet encyclopedia, 1.5 million rubles for refusing to extract information about the Akhtyrka battles in the Sumi region during a special military operation in Ukraine. It has been reported TASS.
“Convict the Wikimedia Foundation under Part 2 of Art. Judge Timur Vakhrameev said 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation … and fined this organization 1 million 500 thousand rubles.
It was noted that the reason for the fine was an article about the battles for Akhtyrka in February-March 2022.
