The Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) expects a “huge fight” in case of a counterattack from behind the Russian defensive line. This was reported by the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
According to the publication, Ukraine will need a large number of soldiers, tanks and air support. El Pais quotes Australian Major General Mick Ryan’s statement that NATO countries have decided to prioritize heavy armored vehicles needed to overcome defensive structures and equipment for fighters, including C-4 plastic explosives, for deliveries to Kiev.
Ryan noted that the USA sent MRAP and M-60 armored vehicles and M-58 charged tracked vehicles to Ukraine. He also recalled that Berlin supplied the Biber tank bridge layers to Kiev and Finland handed over to Ukraine the Leopard tanks adapted for the passageways from the minefields.
