Former US military intelligence officer Tony Shaffer believes Air Force Private First Class Jack Teixeira, accused of leaking classified Pentagon materials, would not have access to such classified information. He talked about it in an interview. Youtube channel Judging freedom.
According to Schaffer, “it can’t be.” The former intelligence officer stressed that it could take years to obtain a top-secret SCI clearance, and Teixeira did not live long enough for it.
Shaffer added that when he was a 20-year-old lieutenant, he had to take special courses to gain normal access to classified information.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden had instructed to find out why Air National Guard soldier Jack Douglas Teixeira, who was accused of leaking, had access to a large amount of classified information.
Prior to that, The New York Times wrote that Teixeira, who was accused of leaking, could face 15 years in prison. He was charged with two offenses – unauthorized confiscation of confidential documents and defense materials, as well as unauthorized storage and transmission of national defense information. In total, the prison sentence can be up to 15 years.
