French telecommunications group Orange appointed as new CEO responsible for the finance, performance and development of the company to Laurent Martinezwhich will effectively occupy the post on 1 September. With the departure of Spaniard Ramón Fernández, the place was left vacant.

In this sense, Jean-Michel Thibaud, Orange’s current Assistant CFO, will serve as interim chief during this transition period.

“I am delighted to welcome Laurent Martinez to lead the Group’s finances. His experience in business transformation will be invaluable in the realization of our new strategic plan,” said Orange CEO Christel Heydemann.
